Notifications and transfer: staying informed without being interrupted
Updated in September 2026
Tinos is built on a simple principle: tell you rather than disturb you. A written summary after each call is enough in the vast majority of cases, and voice transfer stays available for the situations that genuinely deserve it.
Two circuits not to confuse
The first is about you: notifications to the professional, the summary of each call reaching you by e-mail. They are set in the Notifications panel of your assistant.
The second is about your customers: the texts to your clients, acknowledgement, confirmation, reschedule, cancellation, reminder, request acknowledgement, and your link when the caller accepts it. They are set on your assistant’s page, Texts to your clients card, and are included in your plan up to 100 messages on Solo, 300 on Team and 600 on Scale per cycle. That gauge is visible on the Overview.
Choosing your recipients
E-mail is on by default, and the field already shows the address that receives the summary: your account’s, or that of the person the line belongs to. Enter another address to send it elsewhere.
You can add several recipients, within your plan limit: 1 on Solo, 3 on Team, 5 on Scale. That is what lets you alert a partner or a front desk at the same time as yourself.
E-mails arrive under the name Tinos, so you spot them at a glance in your inbox.
Choosing when to be notified
You receive the summary of every call, with no sorting by reason: a request to call back never slips through.
The When should we notify you? setting chooses the moment: always, only during opening hours, or only outside them. It relies on the hours declared in Knowledge.
What the message contains
The message is written by the AI: clear text covering the reason for the call, the contact details and the slot agreed. The subject and layout are handled by Tinos, the same for everyone: nothing to configure.
The panel saves automatically, with no button to click.
Voice transfer, as a last resort
Transfer is off by default, and that is a design choice: it interrupts you, and the transferred conversation counts against your minutes, like the rest of the call. The Call transfer card arrives with a first rule ready to fill in.
A rule is described in plain language in the field In which cases should this transfer happen. You then set when it applies, at any time, during opening hours or outside them, and the number to ring: a mobile or landline in France.
Each destination number is confirmed once by its owner: under the number, Start the confirmation call makes it ring, and the person presses 1 to accept your transfers. They are then asked to save the calling number, your Tinos number, in their contacts; otherwise a phone that silences unknown numbers would send every transfer to voicemail. As long as a number is not confirmed, your assistant transfers no call to it: a typo cannot send your callers to a stranger.
During a transfer, your assistant lets the caller know, then calls the recipient, showing your Tinos number. The recipient hears who is calling and why, and presses 1 to take the call. With no answer within 15 seconds, or if the call is not taken, the assistant takes the call back and takes a message, and the summary you receive states that the transfer went unanswered. A voicemail cannot take the call instead: the caller is never left hanging.
In Conversations, the call shows who it was transferred to and how long the conversation lasted. Its total length, the assistant’s part plus the transferred conversation, is what counts against your plan, per started minute. The transferred conversation is neither recorded nor transcribed, and it ends after one hour. The dashboard test call never transfers: your assistant only says what it would have done.
The rule limit to know about
Your plan sets the number of active transfer rules: 1 on Solo, 3 on Team, 5 on Scale.
Beyond that, a rule stays visible and saved but carries an Not in plan badge and a note that says it frankly: your assistant does not use it. That is the first thing to check when a transfer you believe is live never fires.
