Getting started with Tinos

Updated in September 2026

From creating your account to the first call your assistant answers, allow about ten minutes. This guide follows the journey in the exact order it appears, and flags what is done for you automatically at each step.

1. Create your account

Sign up at tinos.ai. There are two ways in, with no password to remember or protect.

Your e-mail address becomes your account identity. It cannot be changed afterwards, because it is what signs you back in.

  • Continue with Google: one click, nothing to type.
  • Get a code by e-mail: we send you a six-digit code, valid for ten minutes.

2. Choose your plan and pay

The dashboard opens once payment is made: your assistant is provisioned as soon as you subscribe, so there is no free trial. In exchange, monthly billing has no commitment: you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the month already paid for. With annual billing, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid year.

Three plans can be subscribed online, priced per month. Beyond the included minutes, 100-minute packs at €12 are added to your invoice automatically: your assistant never stops.

The payment screen accepts cards, and SEPA direct debit where offered. The Promo code field is optional. With SEPA, bank confirmation takes a few days: your dashboard activates automatically as soon as it arrives.

  • Solo, €99: 1,000 minutes, 1 number, 1 call at a time.
  • Team, €279: 3,000 minutes, 3 numbers, 3 calls at the same time, unlimited members.
  • Scale, €549: 6,000 minutes, 5 numbers, 5 calls at the same time, priority support.

3. The four welcome screens

Right after payment, a short flow prepares your assistant. You have nothing to create: the assistant is generated automatically from what you answer here.

Your company name matters most: it is the one your assistant says when picking up. If you enter your website, Tinos crawls it in the background and prepares a first knowledge base from your home page and a few inner pages.

At the end, the Your assistant is ready screen offers a test call. You can also go straight to the dashboard and test later.

  • You: first name, last name, company name, optional website.
  • Your business: the sector that fits you best, or a free description.
  • Your opening hours: used to answer callers and to flag calls received outside those hours.
  • Your assistant is ready: test call or straight to the dashboard.

4. Hear your assistant before your customers do

From your assistant page, the Make a test call button opens a conversation in your browser, through your computer microphone. It is the fastest way to judge the voice, the greeting and the answers.

A test call does not use your included minutes and does not appear in your Conversations: it triggers no notification and records no appointment. Each month you have 30 minutes of test calls on Solo, 60 on Team and 60 on Scale.

One listening tip: the quality of a browser test call is deliberately set to phone quality. The voice sample in the picker is high definition and will always sound slightly better.

5. Getting your calls to Tinos

There are two routes, and most professionals pick the second one.

Get a number, from the Phone numbers tab. Tinos assigns you a French landline number, 01 to 05, counted against the numbers included in your plan. You then share it with your customers or put it on your website.

Keep your current number, with call forwarding. Your customers keep calling the number they know, and your carrier hands the call to your assistant. Open your assistant page, then Connect my number: you enter your number and your carrier, you choose when the assistant should answer, the screen shows the codes to dial on your mobile, and a test, where you call your number from another phone, checks that forwarding really works before the Verified badge appears.

  • When I don’t answer: your phone rings first, the assistant takes over if you don’t pick up.
  • Instead of my phone: your phone no longer rings, the assistant answers all your calls.

6. The settings that matter from day one

Your assistant already knows how to answer. Three places make it genuinely useful, in this order.

One thing is guaranteed without you having to think about it: your assistant states that it is an artificial intelligence in its very first line, and tells the caller when the call is recorded. These are European obligations, applied by design, and they cannot be switched off.

  • Knowledge: your business information as questions and answers, your website and your opening hours. Without them, your assistant answers but knows very little.
  • Notifications: a summary of every call reaches you by e-mail, on by default.
  • Calendar: appointment booking works from the very first second with the Tinos calendar, with no external account to connect.

7. Where to look next

The Overview tab sums up your activity, channel by channel: calls and conversations received, requests handled, requests after hours, usage for the cycle.

The Conversations tab holds the proof of the work done: for each call, a summary and the full transcript. This is where an assistant gets corrected, by flagging an answer you do not like.

If a call does not come through, our troubleshooting article walks through the real causes in the order you should check them.
